This program provides an opportunity for participants to earn income while gaining job skills. Contract work at our work services facility provides work experience that helps lead to the goal of community employment.
With this program, work service participants are paid a wage commensurate with individual productivity, job classification, and the prevailing pay rate compared to similar work in the community. Skill training is provided as rapidly as a person’s capacity to learn allows and assistance with social and personal adjustment difficulties are provided as needed.
Mainstreet can save your business both time and money which would normally go towards hiring and training extra help. For production jobs, we bid by the piece which allows you to contain costs. When costs are compared, Mainstreet Work Services is almost always a more economical choice over handling outside production needs. We’d love the opportunity to offer you a competitive quote.

The Arc of Greater Boone County also has two micro-businesses, Sodalicious and Arc Artisans, for participants to be apart of, for work training and experience.
