Collaboration

The Chinese Education Connection provides an opportunity for Principals from China to visit the United States to hear about the ways we educate American youth today. The educators shown here are from Hangzhou, China. Melinda, our Literacy and Wellness Instructor, is a retired teacher from Washington Township. During her years in the public school system she had opportunities to share with Chinese educators about the way we approach special education. This time around the focus was on transition and what opportunities are available for people with disabilities after high school. Our Operations Director, Keith, gave a presentation about the services we offer at The Arc of Greater Boone County. Kim, an individual we serve, talked to the educators about her efforts in self-advocacy.
