Day Services

Day Services at The Arc of Greater Boone County offers two distinctive day program formats.

  •  Life Skills: provides support for individuals with significant needs to help them learn to develop communication and daily living skills
  •  Habilitation offers support to individuals to improve their skills, personal care, and pre-vocational training.

Examples of the activities used for the curriculum include:

  • Community exploration
  • Reading
  • Fitness
  • Kiwanis Aktion Club / Self-Advocates of Indiana
  • The Game Changers Club (self-advocacy)
  • Job Club
  • Lego Club

Many of our program participants volunteer regularly for community organizations, including The Boys & Girls Club, Humane Society, Lebanon Rotary Club, and the Shalom House.

Staff are trained to assist individuals in becoming as independent as possible. We believe in being ourselves and having fun!
